Red Sneaker Day Spotlight: Anya Toor

Red Sneaker Days provides a “day” when everyone wears their red sneakers/shoes (or anything red) and participates together to raise awareness for the dangers of food allergies. The goal is not only to increase education and awareness to the communities of those suffering with food allergies, but just as importantly, to educate those who are not directly affected by them.

Anya is a Red Sneaker Ambassador. She hosted a Red Sneaker Day at her elementary school to help spread food allergy awareness. She worked hard to plan an assembly where she could educate the students and staff about the dangers of food allergies. With support from her friends, Anya was able to present to the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes in person. The next day, she was able to host a virtual assembly for all the 2nd through 5th graders. She gave out RSFO wristbands and RSFO Info Cards to everyone in the school.
