Red Sneaker Day Spotlight: Crosspointe Elementary

Red Sneaker Days provides a “day” when everyone wears their red sneakers/shoes (or anything red) and participates together to raise awareness for the dangers of food allergies. The goal is not only to increase education and awareness to the communities of those suffering with food allergies, but just as importantly, to educate those who are not directly affected by them.

Crosspointe Elementary School in Boynton Beach, Florida hosted a Red Sneaker Day to spread food allergy awareness. Red Sneakers for Oakley provided wristbands and RSFO information cards to pass out to the students on their Red Sneaker Day. Crosspointe utilized the students’ lunch period to teach them about food allergies. Students watched an educational video on food allergies and then they were given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the new things they learned.
