Red Sneaker Day Spotlight: Emily and Justin

Red Sneaker Days provides a “day” when everyone wears their red sneakers/shoes (or anything red) and participates together to raise awareness for the dangers of food allergies. The goal is not only to increase education and awareness to the communities of those suffering with food allergies, but just as importantly, to educate those who are not directly affected by them.

Emily Nudelman and Justin Wachen are Red Sneaker Ambassadors and both have life-threatening food allergies. Emily and Justin hosted a Red Sneaker Day Fundraiser at their high school in New York, USA. They hosted a Volleyball Night to help raise food allergy awareness at their school and share why it is so important for their classmates to learn about their allergies. There was over 100 attendees at the event and they were able to fundraise for Red Sneakers for Oakley! Emily and Justin were even featured in their local newspaper! You can check out the article here… www.rivertownsenterprise.net/ardsley/fundraiser

Thank you, Emily and Justin, for being food allergy advocates in your community!
