Teal Pumpkins & Red Sneakers

Stay safe this Halloween

What is the Teal Pumpkin Project?

The Teal Pumpkin Project is a simple way to make trick-or-treating safer and more inclusive. Placing a teal pumpkin on your doorstep signals that, in addition to candy, you offer non-food trinkets and treats that are safe for all trick or treaters.

Kids with food allergies are often left out of Halloween fun, since many popular Halloween candies contain common food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, egg, wheat, soy and sesame. FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project promotes the simple act of offering non-food treats, like glow sticks or small toys, to help create a safer, more inclusive Halloween that all kids can enjoy, including the one in 13 in the U.S. with food allergies.

We hope you’ll join this worldwide movement to create a safer, happier Halloween for all trick-or-treaters!
