Red Sneaker Day Spotlight: Jenna Duley

Red Sneaker Days provides a “day” when everyone wears their red sneakers/shoes (or anything red) and participates together to raise awareness for the dangers of food allergies. The goal is not only to increase education and awareness to the communities of those suffering with food allergies, but just as importantly, to educate those who are not directly affected by them.

Jenna runs a Pre-School and Mother’s Day Out Program in her community and decided to bring food allergy education to the children and families for Food Allergy Awareness Month. Jenna read a food allergy children’s book to her students to help educate about food allergies. Each student received a RSFO bracelet and sticker for participating in the Red Sneaker Day. Each family also received an information card that includes the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis. Thank you, Jenna, for bringing this Red Sneaker Day to your school! Kids are never too young to start learning empathy and understanding for their friends with food allergies!
