Red Sneaker Day Spotlight: Scarlett Staruch
Red Sneaker Days provides a “day” when everyone wears their red sneakers/shoes (or anything red) and participates together to raise awareness for the dangers of food allergies. The goal is not only to increase education and awareness to the communities of those suffering with food allergies, but just as importantly, to educate those who are not directly affected by them.
Scarlett is a Red Sneaker Ambassador in Florida, USA. Scarlett laced up her red sneakers to speak to her third grade class about her food allergy and what her red sneakers mean to her! She used a food allergy presentation to teach them about Oakley’s story and why food allergies should be taken seriously. Everyone in her class received a RSFO wristband and anaphylaxis information card to help them remember how to be food allergy safe at school.
